SSR2013 locks up during backup

I am trying SSR2013 it backup by C & D drives just fine, but when backing up my E drive (data Drive) the program locks up.  I can copy all the data to the D drive and it will backup just fine.  It takes about 20 minutes to back up the C & D drive with a copy of the E drive data on it.  But the times that it does backup the E drive it takes about 1 1/2 hour, most time the program locks up.  I am running windows 7 64 bit, UEFI bios, 2 500GB hard drives, C & D on one and E on the other.  Has anyone seen this before?
