We had an issue with SSR not running correct and on other occations (not with this problematic server) removed and re-installed which normally cures the issue.
With this particular server (Windows 2003) - we could not remove the software as it was looking for source files which the end user had 'tidied up' (read deleted) - subsequently he has tried putting the files back and various other methods of repairing/ modifying in an attempt to do a fresh installation. All of which failed.
At this point I've tried various articles (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag... - removal via batch file, http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag... - manual uninstallation) to which now when I come to install the software it still only gives me the options to modify, repair or remove.
From what I can tell getting to the final 'step 7' of the manual removal article I would have expected the installation to let me 'install' rather than modify/repair/remove.
Any help or pointers would be appriciated.
